It's personal and something I've had to deal with throughout my childhood. So many women have dealt with the first of someone they love. I wanted to explore something that affects us more than we know. I have been looking at how each woman's stories differ. I decided that I wanted to do this from the woman's point of view due to common nature of it. I wanted to take this further by interviewing people close to me like my mother and her friends. I thought that the text should be unchanged from what they gave me because I wanted t keep how they spoke and I felt that this wasn't my story to tell.
